March 12, 2014

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson and his staff are under the glare of bright lights and cameras all week at the Regional Justice Center as crews shoot episodes of the new reality-TV series “Vegas D.A.”Local bestselling author and 2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee Wayne Root created the new concept and is co-producing it under his Cool Hand Root TV production banner with Michael Yudin’s My Tupelo Entertainment, which produces “Ghost Adventures” on the Travel Channel.“The show is not only based on our great system, its justice system and the D.A.’s Office, but it also will have Las Vegas roots on the production end,” Wayne told me.Michael and Wayne’s collaborations include “King of Vegas,” which garnered more than 1 million viewers for Spike TV in 2006, and “Ghost Adventures,” starring Las Vegas’ Zak Bagans and now the No. 1 show in Travel Channel history.Wayne also is celebrating his latest book deal, “The Power of Relentless,” his 10th book but first business and personal development tome. Donald Trump and Wayne are the first two authors signed to Regnery Publishing’s new business book division.Wayne’s last two political books were national bestsellers with Regnery: “The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide” and “The Murder of the Middle Class.”Wayne tells me that “Relentless” is about the most important trait for success in career, business, relationships and life — being 110 percent committed, dedicated, unstoppable, goal obsessed and thus relentless. He teaches a three-part program of empowerment and a triad game plan for success over competition.Robin Leach has been a journalist for more than 50 years and has spent the past 15 years giving readers the inside scoop on Las Vegas, the world’s premier platinum playground.
