The newly formed Non-Fiction Producers Association has added 14 member-companies to its fold, bringing its total membership to 22. The new recruits are Bunim-Murray Productions, Evolution Media, Eyeworks USA, Go Go Luckey Entertainment, GRB Entertainment, High Noon Entertainment, Lighthearted Entertainment, LMNO Productions, MY Entertainment, Optomen, Renegade 83, Sharp Entertainment, The Ebersol Lanigan Company, and Zodiak New York.“We are gratified by the continuing and growing positive response to the formation of the NPA and are delighted to welcome these new companies – from the East and West coasts – to our ranks,” said executive director Rick Feldman. “The NPA now includes 22 of the industry’s top television producers, and we are currently in talks with more production companies that have expressed serious interest.”The NPA also announced that it has formed a six-member Executive Committee and a 15-member Board of Directors, whose inaugural meeting will be held September 10 in New York, where the group will establish its first set of initiatives.Headquartered in New York City, the NPA was formed in July with charter members Atlas Media Corp., Big Fish Entertainment, Jane Street Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures, Loud TV, Magilla Entertainment, Original Media, and True Entertainment. It was created as a professional body to provide industry information, training and assistance to production companies, their staffs, and production employees, and to “promote ‘best practices’ that ensure production employees, independent contractors, vendors and other stakeholders have a voice and platform for meaningful discourse that can encourage and contribute to the continued success and welfare of all parties within the nonfiction television industry.”
