RTLII in Germany to Air Adaptation of The Story Lab’s Hall Pass

A celebrity-focused local version of The Story Lab’s social experiment format Hall Pass will soon premiere on RTLII in Germany.
The German series will run under the title 48H Single: Celebrities Test Their Love. The Story Lab licensed Hall Pass to Joker Productions, which will produce the RTLII version. The German edition will feature celebrity couple Joey and Justine Heindle in the pilot. The first episode will air on October 1 at 11:15 p.m.

Hall Pass allows couples who are at a crossroads in their relationship the chance to decide whether they want to remain together or separate after spending a weekend doing whatever they want without suffering any consequences. The format was created by Phileas Productions and MY Entertainment, in collaboration with The Story Lab.

Jan von Wussow, the executive director of The Story Lab Germany, said, “We are delighted to offer German couples a ‘Hall Pass’ in 48H Single: Celebrities Test Their Love. The unique social experience format is fresh and exciting, inviting couples to test their relationships in unique circumstances, which appeals to the diverse millennial audience. We are thrilled that RTLII have recognized the exciting potential in this format.”

Michael Yudin, the founder and president of MY Entertainment, commented, “We are thrilled that RTLII shares our belief in this timely and topical format, and we look forward to working with our partners at Joker Productions and The Story Lab to make it a long-running hit in Germany.”

Sergio Sancho, the founder and managing director, Phileas Productions, added, “We are very happy that RTLII is bringing 48H Single: Celebrities Test Their Love to German viewers and that Joker is in charge of producing it, which is a guarantee of a great production and content. We believe this is just the first of many more commissions.”
