Joanna Zwickel currently serves as SVP of Development for MY Entertainment and One Foot Forward Entertainment. Joanna comes primarily from a studio background and has worked across scripted, unscripted and documentary feature content. She recently served as VP of Scripted TV Development at MRC Studios and was one of the original hires at Blumhouse TV.
Joanna also built and launched television divisions for a variety of publications including The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, leveraging their unique IP and assets into documentary features and series. During her tenure she originated projects such as Fyre Fraud (Hulu’s Fyre Festival documentary) and scripted series like Angelyne – an upcoming limited series on Peacock starring Emmy Rossum and produced by Sam Esmail, Anonymous Content and UCP.
Prior to that Joanna worked for NBC Universal at Oxygen in Current Production. She has also worked independently as an Executive Producer on documentary features and series. She began her career as a Page at The Late Show with David Letterman.
Joanna has made content for platforms such as HBO, Showtime, Hulu, Amazon, Epix, A&E, AMC, Sundance TV, NBC and more. Projects she has overseen include: Fyre Fraud (Hulu), Angelyne (Peacock), No One Saw a Thing (AMC/Sundance), Liberty: Mother of Exiles (HBO), Election Day: Lens Across America (Epix) and Joe Berlinger’s Judgment Day: Prison or Parole (ID).
