Senior Vice President
David Auerbach joined MY Entertainment in 2015 as Senior Vice-President and serves as the company’s Head of Development. He is based in the newly established Los Angeles office.
The reality entertainment veteran, whose credits include the development and launch of The Bachelor (ABC), America’s Best Dance Crew (MTV) and the celebrity news website TMZ, previously served as a senior programming executive for Warner Bros., where during his 17 year run he was responsible for the development and production of more than 300 hours of network primetime unscripted programming and more than 3,000 hours for cable and first-run syndication. Included in the mix of formats he’s developed is an almost unprecedented 1,500 episodes of dating and relationship shows.
In addition to heading domestic development, Auerbach also works closely with MY Entertainment’s network of independent international production companies to co-develop original formats for the US and global marketplace. So far in 2017, this unique development strategy has resulted in the production of a pilot in The Netherlands, the co-production of a series in the U.K, and most recently – the commission of a new series based on an original format for a major broadcaster in the U.K.
Auerbach joined MY Entertainment from Rive Gauche Television, where he served as President of the independent distribution company and grew the business by forging new relationships with broadcasters and producers around the world, acquiring finished series, putting together co-production deals and placing original series on the air both in the US and abroad.
